Free Lovecraft STUDIO movies – watch them here!

The other day, I posted a list of fan-created Lovecraftian movies that are on Youtube.  After that, I realized that there are quite a few studio movies on Youtube, free to watch, as well.  Most of these didn’t make my “Best Lovecraftian-themed movies” list, but I enjoyed them, in a B movie sort of way.

Watch them below!  As always, if I’ve missed any, please let me know by commenting below.

(Check out my list of recommended Lovecraftian movies here.  Watch fan-created Lovecraftian movies here.)

In spite of his incarceration, West has been continuing his re-animation research, using rats and mice for subjects, and electrocuting them with a special jerry-rigged apparatus. West has now identified an electrical phenomenon # the NEE # which is discharged from the brain at the moment of death…and which may be the ‘missing link’ in his studies: if the NEE is re-injected into a re-animated Corpse, it should restore the ‘subject’ to full ‘reason’.

The Resurrected (1992) – Full Movie
Charles Dexter Ward’s wife enlists the help of a private detective to find out what her husband is up to in a remote cabin owned by his family for centuries. The husband is a chemical engineer, and the smells from his experiments (and the delivery of what appear to be human remains at all hours) are beginning to arouse the attention of neighbors and local law enforcement officials. When the detective and wife find a diary of the husband’s ancestor from 1771, and reports of gruesome murders in the area begin to surface, they begin to suspect that some very unnatural experiments are being conducted in the old house.

  1. Thanks for this. Although the movies are not faithful to the Lovecraft stories, I enjoy any movie Lovecraft based.

  2. Everybody should watch The Haunted Palace because Roger Corman is the king of awesomeness, but also because it has the best evil man cursing people while in the process of being burned alive scene in movie history. But it’s Vincent Price, did you expect it to suck?

And I had the pleasure of watching The Lurking Fear on the big screen at the last Lovecraft Festival. I say pleasure because the only time I’ve laughed harder in a group that big was when I was the MST3K movie in the theatre. The comparison is a valid one. Take from that what you will.

  3. I actually really like Horror Hotel even though it is somewhat dated, but its really not a Lovecraftian movie in my opinion but a pretty much straight witchcraft/Satan thing. You can tell it is really low budget but the scenes in Whitewood (where it always seems to be night) and the Raven’s Inn are truly disturbing. The B&W actually enhances the creepiness. However the lame ending pretty much ruins the whole thing. Watch it for the first 95% of the film.

This film is in the public domain so there are places where you can download it legally.
