I’ve just been made aware of filmmaker Steve Daniels, thanks to author Bruce Durham. Watch the eerie short film The Gibbering Horror of Howard Ghormley below, and read an interview with Steve Daniels here.

Good stuff, really woke me up this morning. Just what I needed, a heaping cup of sanity blasting horror. Ahh the smiles.

I appreciate it Thomas. Yes, this film made the festival rounds back in 06-07. It’s included on the {not very good} Fangoria Blood Drive 2, short horror film compilation DVD.

Hi Steve – you’re very welcome. Thanks for making such great films, I’m really looking forward to watching “Dirt Dauber”. Someone rich needs to finance you so you can make the ultimate big budget Lovecraftian movie…!

Thanks for the kind words Mike. I agree, I need a rich, cosmic horror loving benefactor to fund my films.

At the end of the interview Steve mentioned he was working on a film titled ‘Dirt Dauber’. Well, it’s complete and can be found at this link. It’s a Lovecraftian horror tale just over a half hour in length. I have a copy and all I can say is, it’s brilliant.

Oh, man, Dirt Dauber was at another HPL Film Fest. I thought it was brilliant, too. Did not realize the two were by the same guy. Thanks.

I saw this at the HPL Film Festival here in Portland, Oregon, a few years ago and thought it was brilliant. Glad to see it’s available online.
