Co-editor and author A.J. French attended the World Horror Convention recently. He writes:
“This year’s World Horror Convention was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, and had a focus on H.P. Lovecraft, touting an At the Mountains of Madness theme—for indeed the city is surrounded on all sides by towering, eerie, snow-capped peaks that would’ve made old Grandpa proud. There were several panels held dealing specifically with Lovecraft, with folks such as Michael R. Collings, Orrin Grey (editor of the upcoming Fungi anthology), and Derrick Hussey of Hippocampus Press sitting in. Lots of Lovecraftian rarities spread all over the dealer’s room, including several of Lovecraft’s actual manuscript pages (these on display only, I believe). Hippocampus Press won a Stoker for Specialty Press, which is great, and Jared Walters of Centipede Press had some gorgeous-looking books on display in the dealer’s room. Plenty of Wilum Pugmire’s books were being sold, as well. I passed out fliers for my SHADOW OF THE UNKNOWN anthology, with the website address for the Lovecraft eZine written on that back. I encouraged people to go check out the eZine, and a lot of them were already fans! All in all, a great time and a great Lovecraftian event. Looking forward to the next one.”
Super-editor Ellen Datlow took a bunch of pictures; view them on Flickr.

I was living just outside SLC until a few months ago and cannot express how disapointed I am that I missed this. Glad you had a good one A.J.
