We’re playing Call of Cthulhu!

Call of CthulhuI’m sure most of you are familiar with the Call of Cthulhu role-playing board game.  I have some exciting news: Lovecraft eZine will be hosting Call of Cthulhu games on a regular basis!

Typically, you play Call of Cthulhu “in person”; however, there is also a way to play online, using Google Hangout.  I’ve recruited an experienced CoC player to be our game-master (thanks, Anthony Uyl).

Our first game will be on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 7:00pm EST.  (Here is a handy time zone converter.)  I’ll be playing, and Anthony will be the game-master.  We have room for ONLY 5 more people.  If you’ve ever wanted to play but don’t have anyone near you to play with, here’s your chance.

If you want to play, email me at michaeldaviswriter@gmail.com .

Here is what Anthony says you’ll need to play:

Anthony will also be using Google docs to upload materials for players to download for game sessions such as maps and other investigator/player information that may be needed.

This will be a blast.  If you want to join, email me at michaeldaviswriter@gmail.com — I expect slots to fill up quickly.

(It occurs to me that it would be fun to watch the game, even if you can’t join in.  I’ll broadcast the game live and also will record it.  Stay tuned.)

  2. I’d love to play but I work that night. I’ve run and played Cthulhu games for years and have always wanted to try one online. I’ll look forward to watching the recorded version.
