Enjoy today’s links!

Cthulhu in Wonderland (Penny Dreadful Mash-Ups) – A new book I stumbled across.  Here’s the Amazon synopsis: “While out on a lovely boating jaunt with her sister Lorina and Charles Dodgson (otherwise known as Lewis Carroll), poor Alice finds herself caught up in the tentacles of madness. Inspired by the brilliant and haunting Dreamlands works of the pre-eminent author of horror-fantasy, H.P. Lovecraft, CTHULHU IN WONDERLAND: The Madness of Alice hurls the reader down the Zoog Hole and into Wonderland to experience the sanity-leeching terror of Cthulhu, Shoggoths, the Jabberwock, the demoniac Duchess, the tyrannical Queen in Crimson and the King in Yellow himself. Filled with macabre, sophisticated and antediluvian humor, CTHULHU IN WONDERLAND is certain to leave a permanent aethereal scar upon the reader’s already frail and faltering psyche.”

H.P. Lovecraft on the Supernatural season finale! – “…It seems that the Lovecraft theme was more than skin (i.e. title) deep. Premiere Talent is reporting on their Facebook page: “Watch for Peter Ciuffa in the teaser for the upcoming episode of Supernatural # 621 playing the role of famed author H.P. Lovecraft.” While Mr. Ciuffa doesn’t have all that much of Lovecraft’s distinctive features, he does bear enough of a resemblance that I’m willing to reserve judgement until I see what the makeup crew does with him – and how he pulls off the role. Incidentally, on his page, it seems IMDB is still reporting the episode as “The Haunter of the Dark, Part 1″. Keep in mind that Kripke said at the Paley Festival they wouldn’t be doing a two-part episode, after all. I guess we’ll have to see if that’s true.  All that aside, THEY’RE FINALLY DOING LOVECRAFT! THEY’RE FINALLY DOING LOVECRAFT! AND FOR A DEANCENTRIC EPISODE!!!!”

H.P. Lovecraft and Cthulhu meet the Adventures of Tintin, chaos ensues – “Artist Murray Groat has a imagined a sick, twisted world where Tintin meets HP Lovecraft, taking on notables like Cthulhu and the Deep Ones, and visiting famous Lovecraft sites like R’Lyeh and the Mountains of Madness.”
