I received an email a few minutes ago from Jeremy Lutter, a filmmaker working on a short film called Joanna Makes a Friend, a movie about a little girl who loves reading H.P. Lovecraft.  Check out this awesome trailer and then read his email below to learn more about this film.

Hello Michael,

I’m a filmmaker and I’m working on this short film called “Joanna Makes a Friend” The story follows an unique girl called Joanna. She is nine years old and loves reading HP Lovecraft. This causes her to have trouble fitting in at school. She doesn’t relate to the other kids at school so she ends up building a robot friend.

“Joanna Makes a Friend” is going into production this summer. We won a pitch contest at the Whistler Film Festival. so we have the support of the Whistler Film Festival and some local film organizations. It is a very ambitious project so we recently launched an indiegogo campaign.
