Win the sculpture BROWN JENKIN

Joe Broers is giving away one of his Lovecraftian sculptures, Brown Jenkin, to a lucky Lovecraft eZine subscriber.  This will be a random drawing, using a random number generator

All you have to do to be entered into the contest is:

  • Become an email subscriber to Lovecraft eZine (top right corner of this webpage).   If you’re already a subscriber, you don’t need to do anything.
  • Comment below (say hello, or how great the magazine is… whatever! 🙂 ).

Next Wednesday, January 25, 2011, I will randomly pick a winner from the comments below.  Good luck!

(Who is Brown Jenkin, you say?  Click here.)

(Sponsored by one of the best Lovecraftian novels I’ve ever read, That Which Should Not Be, by Brett J. Talley.)

  3. What a great e-zine! Thanks for giving me another great source for my Lovecraft fixes. As winter tightens its cold fingers, I peer out from my gambril roof and envisage the cyclopean visage of your zine. When I awoke from my fainting spell, the eldritch, rodent like creature with the face of a man stared back at me. Try as I might to grasp the gossamer threads of cosciousness, I fainted away a second time.

  6. I always loved Brown Jenkins. He would be very much at home in my den on my horror bookcase. I have one shelf dedicated to Lovecraft and Lovecraftians but I suspect I will have to dedicate another shelf pretty soon. Also have to pick up an Alert Idol too someday.

  7. Great idea and kudos to Joe, I love his work!

By the way, has anyone enjoyed themselves a nice hot cuppa “Brown & Jenki’s gourmet coffee”?? http://www.brownjenkins.com Mmmm! Can’t think of a yummier mascot than that devil rat thing. I stopped by there once and they were wholly ignorant of HPL and the story, as they coincidentally bought the company from a Brown and Jenkins. I felt kind of bad to have to explain what the other Brown Jenkins was.

  8. As I once owned two rats: one named Brown and the other Jenkins, it would be awesome to own this sculpture! Fingers crossed.

  10. What an amazing sculpture! If I had it I’d display it “near the corner where the downward slant met the inward slant.”

Sorry, couldn’t resist. Wasn’t too certain whether I had subscribed or not. I think I did, previously, but, hey, just to be sure, I’m doing so again! You can never get enough HPL info. ^_____^

  22. I love love love Joe’s beautiful and sinister works. He made me a Hound amulet that has a macabre potency that sinks into my skin whenever I wear it. His work has so charmed me that I paid a wee homage to him by naming a character after him in segment XV of SOME UNKNOWN GULF OF NIGHT.

  23. Just what I always wanted, my own little rat-thing. I will name him George and I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him and pat him and pet him and rub him and caress him…

    Y’know, if I win.
