As per usual on Friday night, we’re playing Call of Cthulhu.  Tonight is session 2 of game 3.  I’m running a Call of Cthulhu scenario titled Snows of an Early Winter, by Louis Agresta.  It’s set in modern day New York City.

You can watch us play, LIVE, by viewing the Youtube video that will be at the end of this post, tonight at 9pm Eastern time (8pm Central, 6pm Pacific).

We’re having fun with Snows of an Early Winter, and you’ll have fun watching it.  Reviewer Nathan C. writes: “Never again will you want to plod through a straight line linear adventure.  What [Snows of an Early Winter] does so well, is allow players to really explore the complex characters that Call of Cthulhu allows you to create… The game design techniques instituted in Early Winter implore the Keeper to have as many options available for their players. Most writers would not dare to use this style, because they would be so worried that a few of their encounters would not be used. However, this extra writing allows the players to investigate leads they want to pursue and chase clues that they have worked hard to gain… The adventure is so smartly written, that I can not tell you what the overall plot is, because, the exact details will change depending on what clues, paths and research the players decide to follow. What I can say is that the players will be traversing all over the city of New York to stop a huge evil that is to occur by Halloween.”

We have a great time playing, and it’s pretty hilarious to watch.  You won’t get through it without cracking up, guaranteed.

We do this every Friday night.  Want to join us for future games?  Here’s what you need to know.
