“What you believe is reality is a lie. With our five feeble senses we pretend to comprehend the world, but we do not see the truth. In the shadows are other worlds whispering warnings… they are filled with beautiful…. and terrible unnameable things… turn up the volume if you dare… for if you listen closely you will hear them…. the whispers … the whispers from the shadows…”
Whispers From The Shadows is an anthology series that adapts short stories from the popular Lovecraft eZine into standalone episodes. Already we have great talents behind the camera like music composer Troy Sterling Nies (Call of Cthulhu, The Whisperer in Darkness) and language consultant Britton Watkins (Star Trek Into Darkness).
And Doug Jones (Hellboy I, Hellboy II, Pan’s Labyrinth) has been cast already, but we need more talent in front of the camera — and that is where you come in!
We are casting for the first three episodes. Those who audition will also be put in consideration for our next three episodes. In these first three episodes we have at least one role for both genders in nearly every age range (8 – 80).
I Am the Key: A chance encounter with a mysterious man at a bar will introduce an everyday family man to a shadowy world where what he learns will change him forever.
The Treatment Room: A medical student frustrated by being unable to move forward in her career, becomes obsessed with a door that no one talks about. But when curiosity takes hold will she be able to handle what she discovers in The Treatment Room?
Jar of Mist: An estranged father coming to grips with his daughter’s suicide discovers a mystery surrounding her death. His search for the truth will uncover her secret life and a mysterious place called Sesqua Valley.
