Video: “Yog-Sothoth Spaghetti Dinner” at the HPL Film Festival

One of the best events at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon is the Yog-Sothoth Spaghetti Dinner.  I was able to record the entire “sermon”!  The video is below.

From the HPLFF website: “After several years of disagreements and strife with the Cult of Cthulhu, Cody Goodfellow, former Archbishop of the Esoteric Order of Dagon, has split to form the Geek Orthodox Temple of Yog-Sothoth. He invites you and your friends to a sumptuous Spaghetti Dinner and Recruitment Drive on Saturday, April 12th from 5:00-6:30 pm, includes spaghetti, lasagna, salad, bread, sodas, wine, and beer (Food by the ever faithful DeNicola’s Italian Restaurant, vegetarian/vegan option will be provided).

Grand Heresiarch Goodfellow, will bless the meal and deliver a sermon on the merits of worshipping at the gate that is Yog-Sothoth. He has invited Robert M. Price to join in the proceedings and to engage in a lively debate.”

Stay tuned for more pictures and video today from the HPL Film Festival.

  1. Amid all the thoroughly enjoyable frivolity – Cody’s monologue was so well-done – Dr. Robert M. Price comes on, beginnning at 25:16 mark, introduces a profound discussion of a spirituality that fits within Lovecraft’s materialistic framework – WOW! I hope Dr. Price graces the Lovecraft eZine with a column based on his monologue. Thanks to Mike and all the folks behind the eZine for making such features as The Yog-Sothoth Spaghetti Dinner” video possible for those who couldn’t attend the filmfest!
