Sad news.  As many of you know, author C.J. Henderson lost his battle with cancer recently.  On this coming Sunday’s regular video show, we’ll be talking about C.J. and his work.

Robert M. Price was a close friend of C.J.’s, and will be joining the show.

If you would like to watch the show LIVE, it’s easy to do: Simply go to this webpage this coming Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 6:00pm Eastern time (5pm Central, 3pm Pacific), and click the play button in the video you’ll find there at that time.

C.J. Henderson is the author of the Teddy London series (a Lovecraftian detective), and much more.  If you haven’t read those books, start with the first one, The Things That Are Not There.  It’s an enjoyable read.

From Wikipedia:

His best-known work in the hardboiled genre is Jack Hagee detective series and his supernatural detective Teddy London series, as well as many other short stories and novels featuring many characters from Lovecraftian fiction and Kolchak: The Night Stalker, as well as his own.

Last but not least, if you want, you can help out his family with medical and funeral costs.  A friend of his sent me the following email:

I’m a very good friend of CJ’s. Saw your post on Facebook about the show dedicated to him. Could you possibly spread word about the donation site created to help with the medical and funeral costs? All of the money goes directly into CJ’s account with no fees deducted.

  1. CJ was a great writer and a really nice guy. I saw him at several cons, and he was always great. He always had time for the fans and would tell stories and jokes. He will be missed.
