Sandy Petersen’s latest masterpiece Cthulhu Wars just arrived at my house. And yes, it’s awesome. Photos are below; view at the risk of your sanity!
This isn’t a review — I haven’t played the game yet. I just figured you all would enjoy viewing the photos. I’ll review Cthulhu Wars after I’ve had a chance to play.
Speaking of that, Sunday Talk Show panelist Rick Lai has suggested that he, Matthew Carpenter, and I play the game on the show soon. Great idea, and if we can make it work it will be a lot of fun. Stay tuned.
There will be a Cthulhu Wars release party on April 4th — I’ll bring you photos and video when that happens.
Sandy and I are friends, and a while back I interviewed him about Cthulhu Wars. Here is that interview:
And here are the photos:
Those are the best game pieces I’ve ever seen.

I was going to wait until next month. That didn’t work out. Impulse buying got to me first. Can’t wait.

LOL those evil little figurines! Beware, they’ll probably climb out of the box some dark night and do unspeakable things to you.

Did any of your figures succumb to the mysterious “warped in transit” effect mentioned in one of the backer updates? One of my night-gaunts did, but it was only one, and since the update described how to fix it, I’m not concerned.
