Horror Anthology Inspired by the Music of “Neutral Milk Hotel”, plus Game Livestream at LE

Hey eZiners! Here’s what’s happening today and tomorrow on the eZine YouTube channel:

Today is the start of something new at Lovecraft eZine: Alan, Logan, and I will be live-streaming (and recording) HORROR GAMES on the YouTube channel! As usual, if you can’t watch live, that’s fine — you can view the video gameplay at any time in the future.

Even if you’re not a gamer, I promise that you’ll have fun watching!

So, Monday at 8:00 pm Eastern Time (7pm Central, 5pm Pacific), Logan and I will be playing the horror game No One Lives Under the Lighthouse. Watch us play at this link.

The game opens up proper with you being lead to a small island via a tiny boat. You are told that the previous keeper mysteriously disappeared, so you’ll take on the lighthouse duties. The island has been long abandoned, so you’re warned not to go mad from the loneliness… (from Elite Institute)

Feel free to give us gameplay suggestions on the live-stream!

And as usual, tomorrow at 6:00 pm Eastern is our regular live podcast. Tomorrow’s guest is Patrick Barb. He recently edited the anthology And One Day We Will Die: Strange Stories Inspired by the Music of Neutral Milk Hotel. A few of the contributing writers will also join us.

22 short stories from the realms of weird, phantasmagoric, and speculative fiction, all inspired by the cult classic songs written and performed by Jeff Mangum and company. From alternate histories where happy endings are allowed and mythological re-imaginings that center love over destruction to awe-inspiring contemplations of the potential in the present and dark and unfathomable future visions, all featured authors selected one song from the beloved Neutral Milk Hotel songbook to use as a springboard for their tales. (from Amazon)

Join us Sunday at 6:00 Eastern, 5:00 Central, 3:00 Pacific (or watch any time later).

And please remember: I need you! Join the Patreon for as little as $5 a month. You get a ton of content for that low price — and you’re ensuring that I can keep doing this. Thanks! 🙂

Mike
