THAT WHICH SHOULD NOT BE redraw…

Boy, some people make it hard to give them free stuff.  I’ve tried to give away THAT WHICH SHOULD NOT BE twice, and my emails aren’t being returned.  SO… I’ll do another drawing.  Requirements: (1) Be a Lovecraft eZine subscriber (top right side of this webpage), AND (2) comment below.  Say something about the magazine, say hello… whatever.  The lucky winner will be randomly chosen by me on Wednesday.

By the way, the winner of TWISTED IN DREAM has already received his book!

THAT WHICH SHOULD NOT BE: Winner of the 2011 JournalStone horror writing contest.  Miskatonic University has a long-whispered reputation of being strongly connected to all things occult and supernatural. From the faculty to the students, the fascination with other-worldly legends and objects runs rampant. So, when Carter Weston’s professor Dr. Thayerson asks him to search a nearby village for a book that is believed to control the inhuman forces that rule the Earth, Incendium Maleficarum, The Inferno of the Witch, the student doesn’t hesitate to begin the quest.  Weston’s journey takes an unexpected turn, however, when he ventures into a tavern in the small town of Anchorhead. Rather than passing the evening as a solitary patron, Weston joins four men who regale him with stories of their personal experiences with forces both preternatural and damned. Two stories hit close to home as they tie the tellers directly to Weston’s current mission.

  1. I bought a copy for my Kindle when you guys first mentioned it on site (like I do with most of the books you review or post) so if I win I’ll give to my brother for his birthday.

    Cheers

  2. I love this magazine, and I love the genre in general. I’m so happy to see this continue and grow! I try to buy books via your Amazon portal, it’s the least I can do to help 🙂 Best wishes and may madness be your constant boon companion while combating the elder things.

  3. I ran across a link to the ezine on the Innsmouth Free Press website. I’ve been a Lovecraft fan for a really long time. I was maybe 12 years old when I read my first HPL story, and decide that I would NEVER let any adult know about it–I knew they’d want to turn me over to the mental health system for enjoying that kind of thing.

I just subscribed, but haven’t read anything yet. I’m looking forward to it, though.

  4. I have really been enjoying your website. I was going to buy the book on your recommendation. Can’t hurt to take a chance unless, of course it has to do with reading mythos materials. AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I’m starting a collection of Cthulhu Mythos books and already have works by Machen, Chambers, Pugmire, and Sargent, as well as several anthologies from Chaosium and the Innsmouth Free Press. This will be a nice addition.

  6. I already have a copy but if I win, I’ll donate it to my local library…or sell it on ebay for huge profits, bwahahaha

  7. Can’t believe the no-replies, but could be to someone else’s benefit (or due to an overactive spam filter or two?)
