It’s late at night here, but I wanted to write a quick note to all of you. My heart is so very full. I asked for your help, and you responded in force. The donations take a huge financial weight off my shoulders; but more than that, I feel so privileged that Lovecraft eZine readers love this magazine this much. Over the past 15 months I have poured my heart and soul into this magazine, and today, you showed me what that has meant to you. I knew that a lot of people enjoy Lovecraft eZine… but I never dreamed that it meant so much to so many people.
You guys rock.
I’ll write more tomorrow. But I could not let tonight pass without saying THANK YOU. And those words seem so inadequate for what you, The Lovecraft eZine readers, have done for this magazine today.
Tomorrow, I will be working hard all day to get the March issue out. I’ll keep you posted. I’ll also be taking some time to send personal “thank you” emails to as many of you as I can.
My wife has occasionally teased me about being a “sentimental sap”, but I’ll say this anyway: This isn’t just a magazine — it’s a family. A family of Lovecraftians.
Again… THANK YOU. I promise you that your trust is not misplaced; I will continue, with the help of my writers, artists, and story readers, to make this magazine the best that it can be.
Mike, I’m so happy and relieved for you. And for us, your readers. Work hard, friend, but please be well. I’m looking forward to seeing the next issue. 🙂

Dave,
It was the very least we could do. However, I should say that the support was for you and only by extension, the eZine. Of course one is intimately linked with the other. But it is you we care for first and foremost.

Looks like you’re off to a good start with the aid. I’m glad to hear it 🙂
Been spreading the word here and there. Hopefully that will help as well.

Maybe I was cursed for encouraging your wayward qualities. I meant to write (but something ate) “And you and Aaron are also so broad-minded that you’re positively old-fashioned. You could teach classes.”

You’re doing a tremendous job, both for readers and writers. And and Aaron could also so broad-minded that you’re positively old-fashioned. So hooray for the response. Hope your family grows!
