“I Wore the Brassiere of Doom”, by Robert M. Price

My friend Rick Lai sent me the following email:

“I Wore the Brassiere of Doom” is a story by “Sally Theobald” (Robert M. Price) in LURID CONFESSIONS #1 (June 1986). It’s an hysterically funny story by Bob which pretends to be a “True Confessions” tale ghosted by H. P. Lovecraft. Enclosed are scans of the story. A French scholar actually accepted Bob’s hoax as genuine, and listed this story in a bibliography of Lovecraft’s works.

Robert M. Price gave me his permission to reprint the story here!  Click to enlarge.

  1. Rick comes through again with an obscure treasure! What a hoot! And Mr. Price should be proud of such an engaging and funny addition to Mythos lore! One wonders? Is there a parallel jockstrap of doom?
