It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of old-time radio — I’ve listened to OTR since I was a kid, and I still do. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I received the following email:
My name’s John Alsedek, and I produce a revival of the classic OTR anthology series SUSPENSE. SUSPENSE is currently running on over 150 stations in North America and abroad, and I thought it might be of interest to you because we do a fair amount of Lovecraft/Lovecraftian horror. Among the stories that we’ve adapted so far are Cool Air, The Return of the Sorcerer (Clark Ashton Smith), The Hounds of Tindalos (Frank Belknap Long), Far Below (Robert Barbour Johnson), The Fire of Asshurbanipal and Pigeons From Hell (Robert E. Howard), The Graveyard Rats (Henry Kuttner) and a couple of originals along the same lines. If you’d like to run any of them on your site, just let me know and I’ll send you copies.
Of course I said yes — I figured you all would love to listen to them.
These audio dramas are not usually available for free; they are for sale at Audible.com. So this is a treat. Listen below, and be sure to check out the rest of the Suspense audio dramas.
