An erotic issue of “Lovecraft eZine”?

So — in today’s video chat, author Molly Tanzer dared me to do an erotic Lovecraftian issue sometime in the future.  Far be it from me to refuse a dare, so I took her up on it!  Molly is writing a story for that issue, and so is Peter Rawlik.

If YOU would like to submit a story for this issue, you can email it to me at lovecraftezine@gmail.com .  Please remember that the other usual submission requirements still apply.

This issue will have NSFW all over it.  I’m sure there are those who will be upset that I’m doing this issue, but I don’t think there’s any harm in doing something like this once in a great while.  I like to take chances.

I don’t have a deadline yet on this — I’ll probably just keep submissions open for this issue until I receive 5 stories that I accept for publication.

  1. Hi, I clicked on the submission requirements link but I didn’t see any details on formatting. Can you point me to those details? Thanks!

  2. Well. I originally accepted the challenge, but now I am thoroughly disgusted…with myself…silkwood shower and all that… at least I’ve got one very adult-themed, tentacle grape-flavored CoC module should I ever want to run one.

  3. Wasn’t this already covered pretty well by Urotsukidoji? I kid, I kid. While I’ll readily admit that erotica is not usually my forte, I’m interested in seeing what kind of perspectives can be offered on this theme. Looking forward to it.

  4. It’s a good mix because I like my erotica in the same way I like my Lovecraftian prose: squamous and cacodaemoniacal.

  5. I wrote a lengthy commentary and my web browser keeps spitting it back out (maybe unfortunate words in this thread…). Anyway, I posted the whole thing on Facebook in the Mythos Fiction discussion group.

  6. Interesting Mike, looks like you were correct, someone didn’t like it and went through and downvoted approval comments; so I went ahead and countered the scoundrel. I’m looking forward to this issue.
