I’m proud to give you the list of 9 stories that made editor Ellen Datlow‘s 2012 “Honorable Mentions” list of best horror of the year.  Most of all, congratulations to these fine writers, and once again, please accept my thanks for thinking enough of The Lovecraft eZine to send me your story.

Here’s the list (click each title to read the story for free online at The Lovecraft eZine):

Wind Walker, by Neil John Buchanan, in issue #20.

The Dead of Winter, by Jay Caselberg, in issue #20.

In the House of the Hummingbirds, by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, in issue #19.

A Thousand Smokes, by W.H. Pugmire, in issue #19.

The Strange Case of Crazy Joe Gallo, by Jeffrey Thomas, in issue #19.

Drive, She Said, by Tracie McBride, in issue #14.

A Catechism for Aspiring Amnesiacs, by Nicole Cushing, in issue #12.

Eliza, by Joshua Reynolds, in issue #10.

Tark Left Santiago, by Joseph S. Pulver Sr., in issue #10.

Question for all you Kindle and Nook owners (please comment below): If I put together a Kindle and Nook “issue” of these 9 stories, would you be interested?

(List source: here and here.)

(I have been repeatedly asked when I’m going to start accepting submissions again.  The answer is that I should be able to do that in roughly a month.  Stay tuned.)
