In 1971, I stumbled across a little gem of a black and white thriller called “Dark Intruder”. About nine minutes into the film, I was shocked to hear references to the gods of H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. As I watched the movie repeatedly in the decades that followed, I was surprised how cleverly elements from different pulp stories was mixed together.
